The Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) is the temporary governing body which has been designated by the United Nations as the lawful government of Iraq until such time as Iraq is politically and socially stable enough to assume its sovereignty.
Primary objectives: to achieve and maintain domestic price stability and to foster and maintain a stable and completive market. Also promote sustainable growth, employment and prosperity.

The Assembly will be elected in a free, direct, and secret election by universal suffrage.
